MercyMe Wins Waffle House Tunie Award

The guys from MercyMe are no strangers to winning awards…Dove Awards, Billboard Awards, American Music awards…just to name a few. But on November 15, they accepted their first “Tunie Award” presented by Waffle House! 

Unless you live in the southern part of the United States you might not be familiar with Waffle House. It’s a 24-hour-a-day breakfast diner famous not only for their waffles, but also the jukeboxes where you can pick your favorite song to play. And each year, the Tunie Awards give a true taste of what diners are listening to as they celebrate the top music played in Waffle House restaurants across the country.

As the guys from Mercy Me accepted their waffle-shaped award for this years Top Christian Band, here’s what they had to say, “This is hands down the highlight of our year… Thanks to all you jukebox users out there that are playing our music… It’s our two favorite things – that food and music… We are genuinely honored to receive this award”.
