Cory Asbury’s “Reckless Love” Becoming A Movie

We love when artists share the stories behind their songs, but how much more are we going to love an entire movie based on the story behind a hit song!? Bethel Music’s Cory Asbury is about to be in brand new territory as his hit song from 2018,  Reckless Love” is about to become a full-length motion picture!

In 2018, “Reckless Love” was everywhere as it was sung in churches, played on radio and reigned on our 20 The Countdown Magazine Chart as well as all the Christian Music charts. The song even went on to be named “Song of the Year” and “Worship Song of the Year” at the 2018 GMA Dove Awards.  

Cory Asbury shares that when he was first approached to turn the true story behind “Reckless Love” into a movie his initial thought was that he wasn’t interested, but as the Lord began to work on his heart and heal some of the brokenness of his past, Cory knew that God had a bigger purpose with this song. 

Cory shares, “The film is about surrender, about letting go and falling into the reckless love of God. It follows the story of a broken young man who finds God and family at the cost of everything.”

The film doesn’t have an official release date yet, but we’ll keep you updated!
