Carrie Underwood Unforgettable A cappella Performance at the Presidential Inauguration

This week, we celebrated one of the most significant moments in our democratic process: the presidential inauguration.
During the ceremony, country music superstar Carrie Underwood, whom you might know from her Gospel album we’ve played on the show before, was invited to perform America the Beautiful.
When it was her moment to sing, her soundtrack started for a few seconds and then totally stopped. Nobody wants to be the sound guy at that moment for sure! The whole room pauses, and Carrie is just waiting. Finally, she mouths to the production team, “I’ll just sing it!”
No soundtrack…no instruments…Carrie Underwood just sings a capella in the United States Capitol Rotunda without missing a note!
