Amy Grant To Receive This Year’s Kennedy Center Honors For Lifetime Artistic Achievements

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts has announced the selection of five honorees who will receive this year’s Kennedy Center Honors for lifetime artistic achievements, and singer-songwriter, Amy Grant, will be one of them!  

The Kennedy center said that over the last 45 years, there have been many gospel singers to receive this honor, but Amy Grant will be the first artist from Contemporary Christian Music!  

The focus of this honor is to not just recognize one performance, album, or film, but to esteem an artist’s entire career and influence, and with album sales exceeding 30 million, and six Grammy awards over the span of her career, we would say this is a well deserved honor!
