A Big Surprise for Two Birmingham Concerts

Have you ever been to a concert and a surprise guest shows up? Well, that’s exactly what happened in Birmingham, Alabama this past week!

Michael W. Smith was playing a show at the Legacy Theater and right across the street was Kari Jobe and Cody Carnes, playing their show at the Alabama Theater! Of course, they’re long time friends in the industry and fans of each other’s music, even working together for the recent project The Jesus Music movie.

To surprise fans, they joined the others’ show for the finales. Kari Jobe and Cody Carnes sang “The Blessing” at Michael W. Smith’s show, and Michael W. Smith got to lead “Waymaker” at Kari & Cody’s show!

All three of them have been incredibly impactful over the years in Christian music, and between them, they have 56 awards and countless nominations. They’ve given us anthems like “Open the Eyes of My Heart,” “Here I Am to Worship,” “Revelation Song,” and “I Am Not Alone.” What a treat for Birmingham fans that night!
