40 Years Strong with Michael W. Smith

This past week, Michael W. Smith and his wife celebrated 40 years of marriage! And if you don’t know how they met, it’s actually a really funny story!

Michael W. Smith was working in his office when Deborah walked by and he just knew she was his future wife. He immediately called his mom and told her that he met his future bride, but he didn’t even know her name yet! So he hung up the phone, went searching the warehouse for her, and waited for her to appear. He said “Sherlock Holmes couldn’t have done a better job at tracking her down!” Waiting for her in a hallway, he introduced himself and they were engaged three and a half weeks later!
