Matthew West and Brandon Lake Win 2024 ASCAP Songwriters Of The Year
This week, “ASCAP,” which is the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers, honored the songwriters and publishers of Christian music’s most-performed songs of the past year.
The Christian Music Songwriter of the Year award went to Matthew West, and really, this is not a surprise to anyone! This is the sixth ASCAP Christian Music Songwriter of the Year honor for Matthew West. Matthew is an incredible songwriter both for his own music and many other artists in Christian music!
And ASCAP awarded the Christian Songwriter/Artist of the Year award to Brandon Lake for writing four of the most-performed songs, including “Fear Is Not My Future,” “Praise,” “Praise You Anywhere,” and “Trust In God.”
We are so thankful for the way these artists are using their God given gifts for the Kingdom through writing!
