Steven Curtis Chapman Honors Mylon LeFevre’s Life With Tribute

Grammy and Dove award-winning Christian Rock musician, Mylon LeFevre, a member of the band, Mylon, and Broken Heart, died at 78 from health complications last week.  His wife Christi, shared that he cherished all the years of music ministry, and he was so grateful for the privilege  of leading over 250,000 youth to Jesus.

Steven Curtis Chapman said one of the first songs he remembered singing with his family in church was a song called, “Without Him,” written by Mylon LeFevre when he was just 17 years old.  That song would go on to be recorded by hundreds of artists, including Elvis Presley. 

Steven says the message of that song has been woven into all of his own songs over the years – that “without Him, he could do nothing”.
