The Chosen Christmas Special in Theaters
Do you watch The Chosen? If you haven’t heard about it, The Chosen is the first ever multi-season television show about the life of Jesus, told through the eyes of the disciples and friends of those closest to him — and it’s all independently funded by the fans!
They’re in the middle of filming the rest of Season 2, but recently they announced that the Christmas episode and a bonus episode would release in select theaters this December 2021! The CEO of Fathom Events said, “CHRISTMAS WITH THE CHOSEN: THE MESSENGERS broke Fathom Events’ record with $1.5 million in sales in the first 12 hours. Originally slated to premiere in 1079 theaters, we’ve already added 450+ locations and thousands of screens to satisfy demand, and anticipate these numbers will continue to grow.”
You can expect to see special performances from artists like Maverick City Music, Brandon Lake, Phil Wickham, and watch the story of the first Christmas through eyes of Mary and Joseph. Dallas Jenkins, the director and writer of the show said, “It’s the first chance Chosen fans have had to gather all over the country, so we intend to make it worth it. And with all the incredible musicians assembled, this is a perfect event for inviting friends.” Watch the trailer below!
